If you are the first time users, you need to register your account(s). Registration is quick and easy. Today I found out for the second time in a year they didn't happen to notice someone keying in our number on the other side of the country might be suspicious. Now we have to shut it down and pray they can get us new cards before our Christmas trip in 5 days. I think we're going to have to switch to a better card.

High interest card with petty rewards

I didn't really use this card much, admittedly, but doing the math at 5% on gas or purchases as well as $10 back in cash on a $500 purchase was not what I call a deal. It's the typical scenario. make it look like you're getting something in return for a 24.99% APR card atop having to spend a lot on it to get ANYTHING in return which is the typical cruise line promise of a rip-off. Secondly, the customer service interation was a bunch of unneccessary attitude like I hurt the guy's feelings for termination of something that wasn't of value to me. I was courteous and friendly as with any correspondence as well as tolerated the attitude throughout the call without gesture or comment. C'mon. you guys can't do any better than that for customers in good standing for numerous years who shop at your store REGULARLY? Not for this guy.

Transactions declined and varying limits

I've had my card for about 4 years now. My credit limit has been changed multiple times (both going up and down without notifying me). My card has been declined multiple times while paying in store and customer service says each time that I need to verify my personal informaiton to remove the hold on my card. It's humiliating because I have to hold up the line and everyone waiting thinks my card has been cancelled or that I didn't pay my bill. At one point my card was lost and when I requested a replacement card, they didn't tell me they were actually closing my account and opened a new credit line instead. This also locked me out of my online account. About 30 minutes was spent working through this with a customer service agent who was clearly outsourced but now every time I log into my online account, my password isn't recognized and I'm forced to verying my account and personal info and create a new password. Calls to customer service have resulted in them telling me that I don't know how to login and that something I'm clicking "Forgot my password" instead of submit. I work in the IT industry. I know how to click "submit9quot;. Ridiculous. The only reason I keep the card open at this point is to keep the average age of my revolving accounts from dropping.

Don't waste the time and energy getting the business credit card unless the personal guarantor plans on always being an employee and living forever. Once the guarantor leaves the compnay or passes away you have to close the account and open another one under the new guarantor's name. This isn't something they will transfer. Dealing with Synchrony is beyond frustrating so save yourself the time and go somewhere else.

Sam's Club is fine. Synchrony wreaks.

we we have consistently had Sam's club card with zero difficulty. Once Sam switched over to synchrony bank the problems plural became apparent. The card is turned off repeatedly over mild issues such as questioned transactions. We have never ever in the history of our relationship with Sam's Club or it's provider credit card company had a suspicious transaction. There is no reason for this company to decline a transaction on the basis of faulty information. It is both embarrassing and uncalled for. In attempting to fix a problem with synchrony bank sending alerts to Lamb lines instead of cell phones as instructed, I spent an hour on the phone fixing an issue only to have that same issue be resurrected two days later. Still, synchrony bank had not updated the telephone information and continued to send text messages to a landline that was unable to retrieve them. Calling synchrony know I did nothing. They are unprofessional and impossible to deal with – not to mention the fact that all calls are forwarded to Indiana. It is my personal concern and professional option to choose not to deal with Indian customer service representative's because the language barrier is prohibited and the distance makes it more likely that my personal information can be obtained by interlopers on various platforms in the process. If Sam's Club process and utilizing this company for their credit cards, I will be forfeiting mine.

Don't get it. I have had this card for quite some time. In the past year, I have been carrying a high balance and the interest is eating me up. They have no interest in negotiating and now they are holding my payments 4-6 days before releasing them although they charge purchases instantly. When I complained, they tell me the law allows them to do this.

Sams club credit card interest rate is high of 20% and letting us not to use the card. costco is giving 15% for their members. This makes us to go to costco and not to sams club

I am not one to give bad reviews but today was the final straw. Synchrony constantly said our business cards were compromised and would cut them off in the middle of us being out of state.Then it was a nightmare to get them turned back on. They finally cancelled all four employee cards and reissued one Business owner card but never activated it. Finally got it activated and they cut it off a week later. We also had a $5000 prepay credit due to them not able to process payments during a hurricane. You could talk to one employee and they would tell you something different than the next employee. We are currently switching to another card. Too much trouble and you never know if you will have to cancel a flight or hotel room because of them. Not dependable at all.

Very complicated and service horrible

Opening account was a nightmare, wrong address the employee entered, took over a month to get the card activated. Once activated, Synchrony Bank unable to activate my mobile number, and they keep blocking the card without reason. Each time I have to call them. Today I paid my card in full and they blocked the card after payment in Sam's C'ub, no one is able to activate it, keep saying "we have to send you a lwtter in few days with a code" sorry but ai cancelled the card, got compensation from Sam's C'ub and left. Worst Bank swrvice ever encountered. Literally they are useless and unprofessional! Stay away from Synchrony bank, too many issues in 2 months of nightmare!

I opened this card for the rewards/cash back. The first month I used it and paid off the statement balance in full (approximately $300). I used the card quite a bit the next month in order to get the rewards. I wanted to pay the full statement balance of approximately $2200. I called the number on the card to find out what the policy was for payments posting. I was told it was 48 hours unless the payment was made in store and then it was immediate. I was going to the store anyway, so decided to just make the payment in person. At the store, I was told that since checks are electronic and treated as cash, they credit the same as cash. Much to my surprise when I learned that my payment still had not credited after 48 hours, that it would not credit for 19 DAYS. I spoke to 4 different people. The system flagged it as "out of pattern" because my last balance was much lower. Even though I was PAYING IN FULL. They stated that even after my payment CLEARED THE BANK, the funds still would not be released for 19 days because of the amount and that I wrote a check. I asked to see this policy in writing and she said it was not in writing, but it was "flagged by the system" due to the amount and it would not be undone for 19 days, EVEN after the check has cleared.

Sams Club - Sam's Club Credit Card Membership

Sam's forces a membership to renew the card in order to get the rewards balance (which it uses to pay for renew membership anyway). In my case, I never been told or knew that I have to keep Sam's club credit card membership in order to get the (rewards) cash back. I didn't want to renew the membership because my boyfriend he wanted to get a new membership. We live in the same house, so I put my name under his new membership card. Basically, I am still a membership with a different card number. However, I was told by Sam's Club customer service and Sam's Credit card that my rewards balance (>$59) will not be issued (it's gone) due to I am no longer Sam's Club membership.

I think this is not right. It was the money that I earned from previous year. I should be able to get the money back no matter I am the membership or not. I should be forced to continue the membership if I don't want to.

So, please be aware of Sam's rewards program. You will not get money back if you stop the membership.

The most disappointing in user's experience was prices are wrong. Author liked the most some products are cheap. The author asks this business to immediately contact him/ her to briefly discuss his/ her negative experience with the company.
